Hon. Melinda A. Johnson (Ret.)

Justice Johnson served as a judge on the Ventura County Superior Court for over twenty years before entering private practice in 2002. Her judicial tenure included presiding over the civil, family law, and juvenile departments, as well as serving as Presiding Judge of the entire court. Since transitioning to private dispute resolution, she has handled a diverse range of high-stakes civil matters, including complex multi-party litigation and sensitive family law disputes.

A seasoned former Presiding Judge with over four decades of combined judicial and ADR experience, specializing in resolving complex civil and family law matters through a detail-oriented and empathetic approach.

One of the first women appointed to the bench in Ventura County, known for her pioneering judicial career and extensive expertise in both civil and family law.
